happiness is like a carpet

Are you happy because you are happy or you think you are supposed to be happy?

What is happiness?
Life is series of choices. So is happiness.
Happiness is a choice. She said.
Happiness is a thought. He said.
Happiness is a collection of certain memories.
Of your families. Of your friends. Of your exes.
Happiness is a glass of water when you really need one.
Happiness is a few seconds of the ecstasy in bed with someone.
Yes, I know, it’s also called orgasm. And germ.
Happiness is a clock. Tick tock tick tock.
He’s coming to your door, standing on the floor, his kiss you’re craving for.
Happiness is breathing at the breaking dawn, flirting with the falling dusk, making love with the big fat moon.
Happiness is tears of joy after watching a movie with a stranger beside you.
Happiness is a cup of coffee you brew for yourself, when rain stepping its feet on the ground, shaping a beautiful sound, healing your wound, with books you were born.
At the end, happiness is a price you have to pay, then, to spend, make you bend to mend.
For me, happiness is like a carpet.
It helps you stay comfortable on the ground.
However, you have to clean it day by day, or from it, the dust will keep you away.
Happiness is like the carpet.
It is not a choice, it is not a thought.
Happiness is like the carpet.
It is sewed to keep your feet safe and warm.
For you need to step a little farther.
A little farther. A little farther.
Happiness will guide you a little farther.
A little farther. A little farther.
The carpet is as far as you are walking on.
Happiness is not a choice. Happiness is not a thought.
Happiness is just there for you. For me.

Are you happy because you are happy or you think you are supposed to be happy?
